Wow, it’s been a while! The last time I posted this blog was May 2019.
Assuming everything continues to go well, we will be joining my sisters-in-law (whom we have not seen in person in about 2 1/2 years) on a Viking river cruise:
This being a river cruise, there’ll a maximum 190 passengers and 50 crew members. Oodles of COVID protocols, including potentially daily PCR testing – the ship has an on board laboratory.
The last time we were on a river cruise in Germany, there was a drought in Europe and the river’s water level was too low for the boat to actually move. The trip was converted into what essentially was a bus tour, using the ship only as the hotel. Not optimal. I haven’t heard of any flooding or drought on the Rhine, so hopefully we should be ok.
